I will not listen to one more song presented under the moniker "Donna Sansoucie"...not one more. It will not be given a flame of even -.003 because it will not be heard at all by myself.
You cannot make me believe 12 months down this road that the poor recording issues cannot be addressed and/or corrected.
12 months....12 MONTHS! and all I get is bull**** recordings. Even a cheap ass audio card can produce better results with a monkey running the mouse!!!
There are at least TWO reasons why someone would do this and CONTINUE to do this.
1: You do NOT care about how you are percieved by the general public....OR.... 2: this IS the perception that you want the general public to percieve!
No more sympathy, no more nothin'. Matter of crack, after I write this lil' bit of words, I will not acknowledge that there are even words that read "Donna Sansoucie" on the innernet'.
I've since donated my old USB interface to one of the deserving kids in the neighborhood, but my offer to donate a microphone stands. At least she can sing.
who would know if donna has a good voice or good songs? Is that you Ronnie? You...just one little ole' you? You know it...I'm guessin' at it...maybe it is maybe it isn't, who can tell? Folks have said this innernet is gonna level the playin field in the music business, maybe, competition is gonna get harder to get past and one SURE FIRE WAY OF NOT GETTING THE RESPECT THAT YOU SAY YOU WANT IS TO....say it with me now...SEND IN A POOR RECORDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who really cares if one or two people took the time to find a gem in the rough, fact is, you may be the only ones left:) Look at donnas' current comments on the noise submitted this week 5/18/2007 and bare in mind this is from the new crop of AW listeners'. That is bad press, which proves my point,,, it is only done to garner a few ears thinking "poor baby can't even get a lil' ole' micraphone for her fred flintstone laptop."
A few of us...me included...have high quality listening gear, so not only does the recording sound terrible, it sounds terrible in 5.1 surround!
I suspect the hum is even worse on a good system Jack, but I can hear, barely, that her songs really are good, as is the way they're sung. I have no idea why she would submit something so terrible, apparently not seeing the importance of doing an audible recording, especially when it may be something as simple as a bad wire. Maybe she's just testing the policy that "We can hear a good song buried in bad production quality, and likewise, a bad song can't hide behind a symphony arrangement"! Anyway, like I said before, it's a damn shame, 'cause I think the girl's great!
Sorry Mr.Jack.Just let me enjoy this, would ya?I honest to God don't have a choice.I respect your opinion.I love doing this. And that's what matters to me.I sincerely do apoligize for hurting your ears all this time..
While we wait for the explaination, I checked http://www.averatec.com/ , seems these computers do have USB ports. I'm not looking to create an engineer out of you know who, but I am an audio snob and will not tolerate not attempting to give the best possible environment to create the best possible work that one can perform. Best as I can tell, I'll just have Musiciansfriend.com to deliver one usb microphone to the post office @ zip 72143. Unless someone can get better mailing info.
Thank you all very much..I'll see what I can do about getting one of those microphones.. Jack, you're not so bad after all,Ronnie you're an angel..BC,there's no soup can involved..Ha!!
Hey Donna, here's your song with most of that hum removed, and as you can hear, the voice is way too hot (very overdriven). You may just be too close to the mic, or the recording volume is set too high, or it might be the mic itself. Don't mean to be so "in your face" on this; just want to help you get a better recording ...
