What the???! Man, I'm hitting myself for not knowing that! Did one of you guys design it? Can I get the $70 refund or an extra year of SongGuard for free?
The designer of this software is Barry Devorzon -- He wrote Nadia's Theme, and a bunch of other tunes you'd know. He's a very nice gentleman and, rightly, very proud of his product. If you have nice things to say about it, I'll pass it on to him. Steve--Shoot an email with your situation to the contactus@artistweekly.com address and I'll see what I can do. I can't promise anything, but it's at least worthwhile to let him know you found out about it through AW.
Just to fair, Steve - it wasn't always there. I don't remember when we added it, but it relaced the Musician's Friend banner we started the new look site with a while back.
(and my tone in the previous post didn't read as I wrote it - I meant it as good humored chiding, but it reads as smarmy know-it-all-ness, so I apologize for that. I pledge to increase and perfect my use of emoticons)
Hey guys I didn't take any of your comments the wrong way.
I already wrote Matt Devorzon (tech support) and he threw something my way in spite of my ignorance to buy it here or Amazon.
At any rate, the software rocks! And I highly recommend it whatever price.
I went from a midi keyboard covered with Thesaurus, dictionary, rhyming dictionary and other crap on it to...no books at all on it thanks to that software.
Now if the thing only had a cheesey lyric highlighter so I could de-cheese my tunes
I used it last year for a while(probably until it timed out;) it just never took the place of my books and paper. Maybe I will give it another look. Then again I do most of my best writing behind the wheel of an automobile.
