Ratings IQ

It looks to me like Just because someone entered a song that said, they think they are too intellegent for us to understand what he is creating, That suddenly were all about our IQ. and not our art. Oh Yeah I'm !26 IQ, Oh No I'm 146 IQ That makes Me Better, Yeah Well You Just aren't Intellegent enough to understand my ART. I've known people with IQ's Way Higher than All of you, but they couldn't write a song, and they would be in awe of your talent.

sincerely Jeff Elliot

I couldn't find anywhere else to put this, and since no one is using it.

It's a why question not a who.

Why is there a Ratings Police person?

What in the Wide World of Sports does it matter?

A high rating does what? Makes others listen as well, and they do what? Rate it a negative 3:)

Hell I'm kinda glad the RPP listens to every song, god knows there is a ratings stuffing epidemic going on and it just needs to be nipped in the bud! Nip it I say!

Yes-I agree. Nip it in the bud. There are a few good songs here, but they don't stand out in the way they otherwise would. Hell, just today i voted for my new song about a dozen times, and I still can't get the score over a three.

I don't know if he stoled that line from someone. I do know he is his own person. He is now a multi- millionair, inspite of the fact he wasn't in it for the money.

He found a new way of doing things and someone bought it.

This Is to Jack the Ripper. Take it or leave it. I Co-Write with Debbie Jensen, Terry Wyatt, Ron Spencer, Mike Deuhr, J. Elliot, Jeff Elliot, Jeff Miller, And Jeffrey Elliot Miller. Ty-Guy is my son, and also Debbie Jensen's son, (Adopted). I Liked a little Anon... when I first found this site. I wanted to test the waters.

You now have rated most of our songs, I like your terse sence of humor, and your honesty.

I will be more honest in the future. I'm out of the closet for better or worse. I'm still not gay, not that, that is a bad thing. Debbie and I both have family members that have alternitive lifestyles. She is my Partner.

Debbie and I appreciate your comments, We intend to rewrite some of our songs and resubmit them thanks to you and just a few others. Thanks for being consitant. That's important.

Yes Jack, I am All The Jeffs listed above. I knew you would pick up on that. Today I'm Just Jeff. I wanted to come clean and start over. I know you don't like to get all mushy. So I called you the ripper, just cause you've been called everything else. My Comment, Above all, Was Made out of respect for you, though I doubted you would take it. You, and a just a handful of others have the courage to stand for something you believe in with honesty, and fairness. Probably not good traites in this Shark eat Dog World. I'm not stalking you, but by following your comments, I learned my way around this site. Thank you. It is a good place for us to be. Just - Jeff.

You knew Groucho Marx?  Wow!  Incidentally, I believe the quote is as follows:

"I wouldn't want to belong to any club that would accept me as a member."

I'm sure it was an honest mistake.

I need some new friends.

Well Mister Jeff Elliot Jeff Miller Jeffrey Elliot Miller Just Jeff....what can I say. You sure you got the right Jack? Honesty and fairness? I mean I have used those tricks before but they are not as effective as one might believe. I'm glad you were able to get around this site. especially with all the body parts laying everywhere...which I know, by the by, I had a hand in producing.

Now thats what I call mushy!!!

Anyway, respect, sure, whatever, I respect you for just being who you are and making your attempts to get past the metal cage that I suit up in. It tells me two things, that you are a sincere person with little malice in you and that you do not know I have a 50 thousand watt taser in my hand.

Let's go stir the water shall we...

 Thanks Don,

No, you are right, I didn't know Groucho Marx. I'm Sure you're right about " the Quote," Because my friend is an avid Marx Bros. Fan. ( Don't I feel stupid ? )  Anyway thanks for cutting me some slack, it was a long time ago. I figured my friend Ron got it from somewhere. I just thought it fit here under the current circumstances. There's nothing wrong with being different or even misunderstood, other than it can get lonely at times. I can't speak for them, but maybe even the Marx Bros. might agree with that, don't you think. Oh well, Who knows!

    Just Jack,

Did you miss my point, or are you just not interested ?

Did I miss your point, or am I reading you right?

Did I mention that I am an Electrician? Yes Really !!!  Honest. (Yeah I know it shows in my songs ! )

Let's up the watt's, what do say ?

Ok, here it is. When I Co-write, I mostly just write music to other peoples lyrics. I have a couple lyrics I wrote myself. They have a terse sense of humor. Not the same as yours, but close. I could use some help. Additionally, I'm not sure where to go with the music, I need something to help break me out of my comfort zone. I haven't gotten any great comments on the songs I've been a part of. I don't think I'm a good singer. You can't please everyone, but on " Laughing Man's Demise", someone commented that I could sing the phone book and they would listen. That's one. It's a good place to start. ( To be honest with you, That's Exactly how I felt when I was composing and singing Ron Spencers Lyrics,..... PHONE BOOK. ) Still I did the best I could at the time.

JACK, this is taking alot of courage for me, and I don't trust not to hurt me, but would you help me with Lyrics and music and recording of a couple of songs.

Sincerely, All the Jeffs

Yeah, it was Groucho all right.  I recognized the quote immediately but also knew that it's common and easy to lose the real author of a quote somewhere along the way.  Certainly not a big deal and nothing to feel stupid about by any means.  I did think a correction was in order and should be appreciated.  I'm glad to hear that it was.

Since I'm on the subject of quotes, reading all the posts about review comments has been reminding me of another quote I know.  I'm sure many will appreciate this one:

"We don't like their sound and guitar music is on the way out." - Decca Recording Co. rejecting the Beatles, 1962

Sometimes even the top dogs don't know what they're barking about.  Anyone noticed a decline in guitar music yet?  Should be happening any day now - it's been 44 years.

the US military are secretly building a giant armoured plectrum to fight this war on terror and defeat all opposition with its strumming or plucking action that we all know and love.

one famous saying comes to mind. 'you can't turn milk into cheese' ...maybe now this will answer all your questions.

Well MPD-Jeff, I must have missed that. Matter of fact, didn't seem like you were shooting at me a'tall.

I'm not certain if I could help you(s) in anyway, but if you think we could straighen up a few crooked lines then, sure, we can do that.

This isn't an attempt to "keep your enemies closer" is it?

Anywho, if you give this email address to anyone I will hunt you down and, well, you know the rest.

Jack, I had no idea that we are enemies, but if so, then Yes it is.

P.S. It was more of an Identity Crisis than MPD, but I'm getting over it .

Jack,

I comes down this. You have a way to make me laugh, ( out loud sometimes ) that's hard to do. You tickle my brain. ( OhOh, I'm in trouble now, I just didn't know how else to describe it.)

Then I read "SHARK BAIT", and you made me cry. ( Nice Prose by way.) OK, it's a little easier to make me cry, I do have a heart you know. Especially where Dogs are concerned. Can I say I liked it to the MAX ? I guess I just did.

Anywho, From laughter to tears is a wide rage of emotion. It just can't be WRONG to, 1. Make someone THINK !, 2. Make someone LAUGH ! 3. Make someone CRY ! 4. Make someone feel Something. That IS the Power of a song when it's done RIGHT !

Maybe I know you better than you would like me to, ( maybe I don't)

Maybe you know me better than you would like to.

All I know is, I like your talent. We don't have to be friends, We don't have to see eye to eye. Maybe we could just call each other "chum".

I hope you are speaking metaphorically, because I generally feel Safe in my Song,

And even if the world ends, ( which I doubt ) I think there will always be a place for

music. Plectrums or not, you can't stop the guitars. Now I'm speaking Metaphorically.
