We went to Thailand last winter for vacation. There, we met a woman that was in the Tsunami and lost her husband. She described how she felt, the crash of the waves, the loss of her "other half". The lyrics pretty much wrote themselves.
Any comments are very welcome... *************************************************
Lost
It seems no matter what I do I miss you more each day Tears come at unexpected times And I wander in a daze The life we planned, together I just cant do it all alone The house we built is still standing But somehow its not a home.
They say the water cleanses And they also claim the fire But no matter how I focus I can not quinch the desire To feel you walk beside me And to want to laugh again At all the silly moments spent with my best friend
I know I have to carry on And do my very best The days and years keep ticking by Like the heartbeat in my chest But I wish that I could hold you Or to feel you touch me soft One half of me is missing And now the other half is lost
