In a word(3wordexcersize)

Question?
how many of you write your lyrics down on paper? (Show of hands)
can you make a statement in three words or less?
If you look at your written lyrics, is there an honest way to take away three letter words like... and, the, but, why, ago, who, can, etc.
Ok! You come up with a three word HOOK, that is really great, then you get stuck. Now what can you say? ( The same thing over and over again ? As if we didn't hear it or understand it the first time?)
Based on the comments I have read, we seem to be waiting on the edge of our seats for something we haven't heard before. again.
Oh here it is, great line, --- next line = fluff-fill-repeat.

Right. Fluff/fill/repeat, that is the current working hook of a lyric I am working on :)

Folding up my cloths and walking down the street. Fluff fill repeat.
Cotton candy is the only cotton I can eat. Fluff fill repeat.

And so on and so forth. Fill free to use this exercise.

Pillow case in one hand
Goose down in the other
Fill-Fluff-Repeat
In case you didn't listen
or if you didn't bother
repeat-fluff-fill

Once you have a solid statement, you can always add the nessessary adjectives/adverbs to paint a more interesting picture.
Editing is what I am talking about.
I find this to be a weakness in my writing.
How about you?
