Closet Lyrics

Before a comment regarding diction again tops my comment box, I would like to post my lyrics here so you may better judge the song.

Let me start by saying that the lyrics to this song were written by me for my sister and singing/songwriting partner, Keenya, as she was struggling with being a musician.

Closet

Waltzing in the shadows of my soul

Ignoring the fingers pulling to play

You're not the master of this puppet now

I am here for me

You fence my fingers away,

take away my heart's desires

Beating hearts entangle around me

Fleeting tears goodbye

**Sound take me away

Arms enfold

I'm not sure just where I'm heading now

My faces change but my soul remains

I never could quite grasp the outline

Of this mystical magical me

**Sound take me away

Arms enfold

To the lovely Jack:

closet
adj 1: (of information) given in confidence or in secret; "closet
information"; "this arrangement must be kept
confidential"; "their secret communications" [syn: closet,
             confidential, secret]
2: indulging only covertly; "a closet alcoholic"; "closet
        liberals" [syn: closet, secret]
n 1: a small room (or recess) or cabinet used for storage space
          [syn: cupboard]
2: a toilet in England [syn: water closet, W.C., loo]
3: a tall piece of furniture that provides storage space for
clothes; has a door and rails or hooks for hanging clothes
        [syn: wardrobe, press]
4: a small private room for study or prayer
v : confine to a small space, as for intensive work

As far as its relationship to the title of the song, it was signifying the feeling of being confined, not able to express oneself, and the act of coming out in order to find oneself.

Thank you for your questions,

Tiffany

So it's a multiple choice title.

If I read it right the singer drinks too much and is going down the toilet because of a secret, i.e., is homosexual:)

Where's the easy questions at!

OK. The heart and spirit of the song are there.

Strip the 1 min. 25 second intro off and all the work after the last word is spoken and what do you have? Room for improvement.

That's all I'm saying.

The Loverly Jack
