I would like to be able to follow the comments people are leaving for songs without having to rate them again. Anyone else feel this way? After listening to and rating a song do you ever go back a few days later to see what other people have added? I do, but it seems unfair for me to be rating more than once etc. Maybe I'm asking too much of a free site, but it would be nice to be able to do this in my bitty opinion. Watcha think?
I do that too, but statistically that solidifies the rating against future change. So it would be better if we didn't have to rerate to see comments. I've noticed some songs pushing 100 ratings, while others on either side of them chronologically have 20 or so. Seems odd, but it may be driven by multiple contributors to the one song just wanting to see how they are doing.
I think this site has a better user interface than most, but it could easily get cluttered. I'd think it an improvement if the rating window was just bigger, and displayed everyone's comments (scrollable) right below the comment box.
I'd also like to be able to rate with a little more specificity. A ten flame scale would be awesome, or a sliding flame scale from 0 to five with 1/10th flame increments. Hey it'd be nice too, if my picture would display while my song was playing. That girl is cute, but she ain't me. This ain't the radio, so why not?
I'd also like for beer to pour out of the speakers as soon as I type in the URL. See what you can do, OK?
Future change being what it is, does that refer to after the weeks winners have been announced? Like then it will be harder to break above that flame rating, whatever it may be?
Me personaly, I still wonder about the whole flame thing at times, like this past week. What or how much weight is actually given to the flames? The Momma song that won has 26 ratings, maintains a 3.5 rating and had 5 comments, 2 of which were installed after the naming of weekly winners.
Seems like the collective is just given something to do that may or may not have any potential bearing. You tell me, if I'm a seein' this hair thing like I'ma thinning I is.
