Of course, with the advent of digital recording, everything is cheaper and faster and somewhat easier, we still like the warm "attitude" of analog however. When given the chance, we still record analog, we just mix dig and ana. We usually make the bed on digital, a pro tools desk, and them lay that along with vocals and the top end on an ancient Soundcraft 2400 analog board with those classic ax7 tubes. It seems to work for us and that "ancient" style we have. There's a lot to be said for both, it's just that almost eveything has to, in one form or another, stay in the digital world eventually!
